We are excited to have Jim Leonard and Kim Finn joining us at SBCC Day Camp as Director and Assistant Director this summer!

Jim hails from the south shore and typically spends summers in Pocasset. He is a teacher at Archbishop Williams High School. In addition to leading in the classroom, Jim runs a youth ministry program. He has past experience as an assistant camp director at an overnight camp for at risk youth ages 6-13. This experience ignited a love of summer camp for him.  Jim knows how important our traditions at SBCC are to campers, counselors, and parents alike and he is dedicated to preserving them while also bringing some fresh, enriching programs and activities.  Jim holds a Master’s Degree in Education and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Theology, the subject he teaches.  In his free time (!?!) he is also learning to play piano and cook. We also hear he does a mean Karaoke and has a vast knowledge of Disney Trivia.

Kim Finn, a life long resident of Bourne, grew up in Pocasset and now resides in Sagamore Beach with her three children. Kim learned the value of hard work from a young age working in her family’s restaurant Quintal’s. She worked there all through high school and while attending college at Worcester State.  About 12 years ago, Kim decided to pursue her dream of being a photo-

grapher.  She will celebrate 5 years of her Buzzard’s Bay studio being open this summer. Being a professional photographer has been an exciting and adventurous vocation as it has taken her all over and out of the country! Although photographing people is what Kim loves most, she also appreciates the opportunity to capture a beautiful sunset or cool new place. Kim couldn’t imagine ever living away from the ocean. She loves the outdoors,  boating and beaching, and doing her best to live a healthy, purposeful life.

Kim loves trying new things and thinks the idea of a summer filled with fun at summer camp will be an awesome new adventure! Her enthusiasm is just as impressive as her creativity and strong work ethic. Many of her photography jobs are weddings where she excels at producing amazing results under enormous pressure.

We warmly welcome Jim and Kim to SBCC Day Camp and are looking forward to what we are sure is going to be an amazing summer!
