Camp Director

Joe Madera grew up on the North Shore of Massachusetts, but has called Plymouth his home for the past 8 years. While earning his undergraduate degree, Joe acquired a summer job at a camp in his hometown and quickly took to the opportunity to work with children/teens in a creative and outdoor setting. In the summers that followed, Joe worked his way up to become the camp’s Program Director and eventually changed his career path into education.

Joe’s experience as a camp director lead him to his first job, overseeing an educational non-profit child care program with multiple summer camps and after-school programs. It was the connection he made supporting and working with the kids and families at the program which lead him to eventually pursue his Master’s Degree in Counseling at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte.

After his relocation and earning his Master’s Degree, Joe moved back to Massachusetts from North Carolina and became a High School Guidance Counselor in the Greater Lawrence region of Massachusetts. In 2011, upon getting married, Joe and his wife relocated to the South Shore where he has been a high school Guidance Counselor, as well as high school cross country and lacrosse coach, ever since.

A proud and happy husband and father of two beautiful girls, Joe enjoys spending time with his family, trying new foods and hiking with his dog. A lover of the outdoors and the ocean, Joe is excited to spend his summer at the Sagamore Beach Colony Club Day Camp.

Assistant Director

Kim Finn, a life long resident of Bourne, grew up in Pocasset and now resides in Sagamore Beach. Kim learned the value of hard work from a young age working in her family’s restaurant Quintal’s. She worked there all through high school and while attending college at Worcester State.  In 2006, Kim decided to pursue her dream of being a photo-

grapher.  Her Buzzard’s Bay studio has been open since 2013. Being a professional photographer has been an exciting and adventurous vocation as it has taken her all over and out of the country! Although photographing people is what Kim loves most, she also appreciates the opportunity to capture a beautiful sunset or cool new place. Kim couldn’t imagine ever living away from the ocean. She loves the outdoors,  boating and beaching, and doing her best to live a healthy, purposeful life.

Kim loves trying new things and the adventure of summer camp proved to be one she enjoys! Her enthusiasm is just as impressive as her creativity and strong work ethic. Many of her photography jobs are weddings where she excels at producing amazing results under enormous pressure.
